THE CHORUS
Our mission: The Eugene Gay Men’s Chorus is a community of gay men and friends who seek to uplift and create LGBTQ+ visibility, community, and celebration through choral singing and the musical arts.
Our membership spans Eugene, Springfield, and many beautiful places in the surrounding areas of Lane County and the South Willamette Valley. While we identify as a gay men’s chorus, we value inclusivity and accept members of all genders/orientations.
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Evan Miles, founding artistic director for EGMC, earned his masters degree in choral conducting from the University of Oregon. A driving force behind bringing EGMC from concept to reality, he has also traveled overseas with the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus as a guest conductor.
JOINING THE CHORUS
Prospective members of all genders and orientations who sing in the tenor or bass vocal range are invited to audition to join EGMC. We hold several open auditions throughout the year. If you cannot make it to one of these, please contact us to set up a private audition.
